How to get there

Directions to the ICH from London’s airports

It takes approximately 60 minutes from any of the five London airports to the ICH.

  • From Heathrow:
Take the Piccadilly line (dark blue) directly to Russell Square. The Heathrow Express is expensive and saves only approximately 15 minutes providing that you take a taxi at Paddington.
  • From Stansted:
Take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street Station and change there to the (red) Central line to go to Holborn (four stops).
  • From Gatwick:
Take the train of Thameslink to King’s Cross Thameslink station. Kings Cross is approximately 15 minutes walk from the ICH. Alternatively change there to the Piccadilly line and go south to Russell Square. Do not take the Gatwick Express to Victoria.
  • From Luton:
T take the Shuttle Bus to the train station. From there take the Thameslink train to King’s Cross Thameslink station. Change there to the Piccadilly line or walk.
  • From City Airport:
Take the Dockland Light Railroad to Bank and change there to the (red) Central line to go to Holborn (three stops).

Car parking

As the ICH is in the centre of London, parking is very limited and generally on a 'pay and display' basis for a maximum of four hours. There are also two NCP car parks nearby.

You will have to pay a congestion charge fee to enter central London between the hours of 7am and 6.30pm on weekdays (excluding bank holidays).

You should pay your congestion charge or register as exempt before you travel by visiting the website www.cclondon.com or ringing 0845 900 1234.

You can pay your congestion charge in person at selected shops, post offices and petrol stations or at self-service machines in major public car parks within the zone.
